Late one night I received a frantic call from a friend who had an interview the following morning. After she vented about her panic, I suggested we spend some time preparing. We walked through potential questions the employer might ask, how to relax in the moment, and what to say if she couldn’t immediately think of an answer. I helped highlight her achievements even though she didn’t think she had any relevant experience to the position for which she was applying.
A week later I received the following text: “I got the job and I KNOW it’s because of your help!”
That’s when I decided to lean into my own strengths and start TheDalyProphet, a service designed to assist individuals in professionally packaging themselves for interviews.
I love mentoring others in all sorts of areas: mock trial techniques, business and entrepreneurial competitions, putting together and giving professional presentations, strategizing and setting up concise operational work-flows…just to name a few. I’ve also spent countless hours tutoring classmates and assisting colleagues in their academic and professional endeavors.
During college, I was very active in our business fraternity and loved hosting mock interviews. It was during that time I had the opportunity to really understand the psychology behind building confidence while appreciating and highlighting one’s strengths and achievements.
The interview process can be daunting whether it’s for an internship or a full-time position - but it shouldn’t be! Applicants often lack confidence, even if their skills and knowledge would be an asset to the organization.
That’s where I come in: I help you make it so you don’t have to fake it!
“You can tell that Alexandra loves mentoring others. She’s with you every step of the way and wants you to succeed. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to understand how to balance being professional while maintaining your own personality during interviews."
“I love that Alexandra makes this process fun. Getting a job is difficult enough that I didn’t want more pressure from a coach. She likes to laugh and makes working together so easy. Plus, she really helped me highlight my accomplishments which I didn’t think were a big deal. Who knew I’d be so proud of myself? But I am now!”
